Genie has the extractor built into the clinical system and data is exported from within Genie. It might have to be set up for pathology. See the relevant guide below or contact PEN CS support if you have any questions about this process.
If you use Genie on a Mac, you can still export the data but CAT4 will not run on Mac, so you need to have a Windows machine available to run CAT4 and report on the data.
For Genie users the data set collection is performed from within the Genie software application. Clicking the CAT 'Collect' button at the top left of the screen will provide you with the summary steps on how this is done within Genie.
The Clinical Audit Preferences 'Extract Directory' folder MUST match the folder selected in the Genie application extraction.
Once the extraction has completed the extract files will be available in CAT and can be loaded by clicking the 'View Extracts' button and selecting the required data set.

Two files will be created – the link file and then the data file – you will be shown the progress of each file extract
Once the export has completed you will see the 'Export Complete' message displayed.
